AS Roma have completed the signing of Turkey wonderkid Cengiz Under from Istanbul Basaksehir.
The 20-year-old, regarded as the Turkish Paulo Dybala in some quarters, underwent his medical yesterday and his €13.4 million (£11.9m) move was officially confirmed via the Serie A giants’ website this morning and he’s put pen-to-paper on a five-year contract.

Capable of playing on either flank or as an attacking midfielder, the starlet impressed for Istanbul Basaksehir last season by netting seven goals and weighing in with five assists to help the club finish as runners-up to champions Besiktas.
In his first interview since joining last season’s runners-up in Serie A, Under said:
“I’m delighted to be here and very excited about meeting the fans.
“My aim is to earn myself a regular starting berth as quickly as possible.”
Having scored on both of his starts for the Turkey national team so far, Under had been linked with a move to the Premier League as Manchester City were said to be interested, but has opted for the move to Italy instead.
In doing so he becomes the Giallorossi’s fifth signing of what has been a busy summer thus far as he follows in the footsteps of Maxime Gonalons, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Hector Moreno and Rick Karsdorp – with more set to arrive before the window shuts.
