Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is worth more than Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba according to club president Claudio Lotito.
Milinkovic-Savic has long been linked with a move away from the Serie A side, with many of Europe’s biggest sides interested in securing the signature of the talented Serbian international.
The talented midfielder scored 12 goals in 35 Serie A appearances last season as Lazio finished fifth, just missing out on a Champions League place before he played in all three of Serbia’s games at the Fifa World Cup in Russia this summer.

Lazio president Lotito has confirmed that the club hasn’t received any offers for the player since 2017 and that in his opinion, he is a superior player to United and France Pogba, and therefore the club would command a transfer fee bigger than the World Cup-winner.
“Sergej is the best young player on the world scene, with huge potential,” Lotito told Corriere della Sera.
“I have not received any official offers either from Milan or Juventus, let alone from Real or United.
“Of course, I do not push to sell him but if you ask me how much he is worth then I remember that last year, August 29, I refused a €110 million offer.
“How much has Pogba been sold to Manchester? €105 million?”
“So Milinkovic is worth more, because he is much stronger.
“And be clear, I’m not interested in technical counterparts or loan-type formulas.”
Lazio’s first Serie A fixture of the season is against 17/18 runners-up Napoli next Saturday.
