Can joined Liverpool in the summer of 2014 but it took some time for him to really show what he’s capable of, mainly because he was used at centre-back by former manager Brendan Rodgers.
Since Klopp’s arrival, Can has been playing as part of the trio in the centre of midfield and he has arguably been Liverpool’s best player over the past few weeks.
Speaking at his press conference ahead of the game against Manchester United in the Europa League, Klopp was quick to praise Can for his good form.
Klopp: "Emre Can is in a really good way. Everyone can see it. He's in really good shape. He has made a big step."

With James Milner and captain Jordan Henderson both struggling for form, Can’s performances have been crucial and he was impressive during the 2-0 win over United in the first leg.
Can created one chance and won three tackles during the match as Liverpool dominated the United midfield and totally overran their opponents in the centre of the pitch.
Furthermore, some have even begun to start talking about Can as a potential future captain and it is a stark contrast to when no-one could really see a place for the German midfielder at Anfield.
The task for Can is keep these performances up between now and the end of the season.
