French side Bordeaux have completed the signing of highly-rated youngster Malcom, with Willy Sagnol keeping one eye on the future.
The Ligue 1 side have recovered well from their mid-season slump in recent weeks and have won four of their last seven in the league, while they are unbeaten since the 2nd December.
However, it has not been all plain-sailing for Bordeaux and this month they lost attacking duo Henri Saivet and Wahbi Khazri to the Premier League.
Sagnol, while keeping an eye on the future, was clearly keen to bolster his ranks after the club announced on their official website they had snapped up 18-year-old Malcom.
The Brazilian began his career in the youth side of Brazilian giants Corinthians back in 2008 and after six years there, he was then promoted to the first team.
The midfielder made a total of 73 appearances for the club and scored 10 goals during his three seasons in the first team.
Bordeaux have confirmed that both Malcom and a fellow signing in Mauro Arambarri will be presented to the press on Tuesday at Chateau du Haillan.
Malcom, a Brazil U20 international, may be familiar to some Chelsea fans as it was he who replaced their very own Kenedy in the squad at the FIFA U-20 World Cup last year.
