Ramires is reportedly nearing an exit from reigning Premier League champions Chelsea, with the midfielder potentially moving this month.
Despite being a crucial member of the Blues’ first-team since signing for the club in 2010, Ramires has found opportunities difficult to come by in 2015/16.
He has featured in just 12 of Chelsea’s 22 league fixtures this term, completing 90 minutes on a mere three occasions.
According to the Daily Mail, the west Londoners’ No.7 is now “close” to being sold. The report claims that a move is set to occur within the current transfer window.
Whilst his destination is unknown, the source does suggest that both Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich – the division leaders of Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga, respectively – are admirers of Ramires.
The 28-year-old has won a total of five major honours with Chelsea, whilst also claiming the club’s Goal of the Season award on two occasions.
Known for his energetic, box-to-box style of play, Ramires has netted 37 goals for the Blues across all competitions.
When the experienced Brazil international has taken to a Premier League field this season, his form has been far from his best. Ramires has won just 32% of his duels this season – the poorest record in the entire squad, and a 14% dip on 2014/15.
